BECOME A SPONSOR

If you’d like to make a difference in our region by helping more people experience the benefits of bicycling, we invite you to become a sponsor. We’ll give your brand a lot of love and exposure in the community for promoting healthier commutes and cleaner air.

Three people stand at a table outdoors. Two women are smiling; one wears a shirt that says "I [bicycle] Arlington" and a cap, while the other wears a navy polo. A man in a hat and sunglasses folds a red shirt.
People visit outdoor booths at a community event. Tents display banners for different organizations, and attendees talk with vendors. Tall buildings are visible in the background, and the event takes place in a parking lot.

REGIONAL SPONSORSHIP

Bike to Work Day is funded in part by generous businesses and organizations. The event is co-organized by two non-profit entities (Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association), and regional sponsor donations are tax deductible. Cash donations at the regional level supplement the procurement of thousands of T-shirts given out for free to participants.

Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at just $1,200 and are tiered. The deadline for regional sponsorship has past for the 2026 event. The 2027 event deadline for regional sponsorships is January 31, 2027.

  • Bronze – Sponsor logos appear on the event website and thousands of posters and rack cards
  • Silver – Sponsor logos also appear on Bike to Work Day T-shirts and in press releases
  • Gold – Sponsor names are also mentioned as part of the event advertising campaign, including in radio ads, digital web banners, and on social media

In-kind bike donations for the regional raffle are also accepted. The deadline for sponsors to donate bicycles for the regional bike raffle has past for the 2026 event. The 2027 event deadline for regional bike raffle sponsorships is January 31, 2027.

A group of people gather on a city sidewalk around tables with banners and merchandise for Ward 3 Bike Advocates, promoting safe streets; bicycles, helmets, and outdoor seating are visible nearby.

SPONSOR A LOCAL PIT STOP

Bike to Work Day features over 100 local gatherings or “pit stops” located in communities and neighborhoods throughout the DMV, where participants can refuel and refresh. Pit stops offer free T-shirts for those who register and attend, and most offer free refreshments, swag, a chance to win raffle prizes, and more, while supplies last.

In-kind donations of food, beverages, and giveaway items are accepted by local pit stops through April 2026 to help feed and hydrate participants, and reward them with prizes.

  • To sponsor a pit stop, contact the pit stop directly. Go to Find Your Pit Stop and select the location of interest to view contact information.
