Become a Bike to Work Day Sponsor


WholeFoodsBananasCommuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association invite regional sponsors to help make Bike to Work Day possible.  Depending on donation level, regional sponsors get their logo on T-shirts, posters, the website and more.  Regional sponsor deadline of financial and in-kind support is January 29, 2021.  Event organizers, Commuter Connections (MWCOG) and WABA are 501c(3) nonprofits. Sponsor one or more of the over 100 pit stop locations by donating food, beverages, and/or giveaway items through April 2021.  Simply contact the pit stop(s) of your choice directly.

There are Two Ways to Become a Sponsor

Regional Sponsorship – Bike to Work Day is funded in part by generous corporations and organizations.  Because the event is organized by non-profit entities, donations to Bike to Work Day are tax-deductible. Cash donations at the regional level supplement the procurement of marketing materials for the event, including the purchase of thousands of T-Shirts for participants.

Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at just $1,200. At the Bronze level, sponsor logos will appear on the event website, and 90,000 posters and rack cards. At the Silver level, sponsor logos also appear on 20,000 Bike to Work Day T-shirts.  At the Gold level, sponsor names are also mentioned on several hundred Bike to Work Day event radio spot for several weeks leading up to Bike to Work Day. Sponsor a Local Pit Stop The Bike to Work Day event will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, at over 100 pit stop gatherings occurring throughout the Washington metropolitan region.  These local events called “pit stops” offer T-Shirts, food, beverages and chances to win raffle prizes for participants. In-kind donations will be accepted by the local pit stops through April to help feed and hydrate the masses.
